Actions
I spent a bit of time updating this blog to once again get it caught up with my note diary. I also further researched Lotte Reiniger and some other information on silhouettes.

Thoughts
This blog is still proving to be extremely useful for evaluating my project and all the work achieved so far. As mentioned previously, I find it helpful to look back at the work I have done a few days later as it is much easier to be more objective.
Lotte Reiniger is such a wonderful source of inspiration for silhouette work that it is hard to stop researching her work. I could sit and watch film after film that she has created and spend my whole time admiring the meticulous and detailed figures she creates. It was also useful to look into a basic history of silhouettes as this provided me with a more accurate idea of why they became popular for the Victorians. I had a short look at the work of John Miers, one of the most famous silhouette artists of that era. Like Lotte Reiniger, his work contains impressive levels of detail and the hair and clothes are shaded slightly in places to provide a better impression of how the individual looked.

Future Plans
I now need to create my own cat silhouette puppet as well as design silhouettes for the rest of the characters within the story.
